Frequently Asked Questions
Session FAQs
-
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
-
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy.
This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you.
-
If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, please let me know as soon as you can.
If you are late to your appointment, your appointment time will end as scheduled unless otherwise discussed.
To respect the therapeutic space and the work being done in each session, clients will not be admitted into sessions, without prior approval, if they arrive more than 15 minutes late to their scheduled appointment time, and will be considered a no-show.

I offer Telehealth sessions through the SimplePractice platform.
You may access the link via your email, text messages, or client portal.

For clients under the age of 13, parent sessions will be scheduled to check-in about treatment goals and client progress. These sessions run from 30-50 minutes ($100-$190) and can be held in-person or virtually. For clients ages 13-17, parents may request a parent or family session.

I cannot ensure the confidentiality of any form of communication through electronic media, including text messages.
Please limit emails/texts to general questions and scheduling needs.

Location:
My office is located in Arlington Courthouse at 2007 15th St. North.
You can enter the building through the lower side entrance that opens out to the parking lot.
Parking:
I have one reserved parking space, #17, but if that spot is taken, you may park in one of the other spots until it is vacated.
Additionally, there is always paid street parking if you would prefer to park on the street.
-
If you are ever experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please either dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room first.
Contacting me is necessary but must come secondary to this, as your safety is the number one priority and must be dealt with urgently.

I am an Out-of-Network provider. This means I do not take insurance, but I do provide Superbills after sessions, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Submitting Superbills can be annoying and time-consuming, which is why I have partnered with Mentaya, a HIPAA compliant service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.
Please let me know if you are interested in setting up an account with Mentaya.

I have partnered with Mentaya, a HIPAA compliant service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.
Mentaya may be helpful if you:
Have out-of-network benefits
Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement
Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!
How it works?
Sign up for Mentaya using the link I provide.
I will enter your sessions into the platform.
Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
You get reimbursed by insurance!
Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.
It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.

The good faith estimate is a notification of expected charges for a scheduled or requested service (or item). The “expected charge” for an item or service is either: the cash pay rate or rate established by a provider for an uninsured (or self-pay) patient, reflecting any discounts for such individuals; or the amount the provider would expect to charge if the provider intended to bill a health care plan directly for such item or service.
Is the good faith estimate binding?
The information provided in the good faith estimate is only an estimate, and the actual items, services, or charges may differ from what is included in the good faith estimate.
